bass cutout????? Help!!!
**** knows, but alternators arent made to power the car, they are made to give the bat. the extra 2.4 volts and keep the battery toped up while the car is running... oh and the high performance batteries charge a lot faster then stock battereies too, infact a lot of the pros use the high performance batteries...

The batteries only purpose is to start the car.............
The alternator runs the car..........always has, always will..............start your car and take the battery out, it won't miss a beat.......
^ Tim’s in a good mood or he would have been tough on you Memphis Man!
There is a lot to learn and sometimes there is misinformation from the salesmen (trying to sell you a battery) or your buddies (who just bought a battery or a capacitor).
Nobody is saying the battery isn’t important, it is, but while the engine is running the alternator/ voltage regulator are king, when the engine is off the batteries capabilities AND the load (stereo) on he battery are king.
Memphis Man you are correct that the high performance batteries should charge faster (manufacturer claim but their design supports the claim). There are a number of threads on here on batteries and high current alternators, they are quite good. (Never bring up the topic of capacitors though ....).
My goodness did we ever answer poor Squiddyy’s question?? The poor guy is starving for power

The light on the amp doesnt go out when the bass stops and I have checked the ground and its fine. The remote turn on is firmly in place so I still dont know why its keeps on cutting out? Its kinda weird though because when the car is running and actually moving it seems to play everything at a high level of volume but when I come to a stop thats when it seems to cut out!
It is amazing how important listening (reading ) all the comments is.
