New amp is in. Will post pics tonight. VFL 200.1 1 of 2 that will be going in this year.

 

You know I saw a test where the speaker wire was upgraded to a larger size and the score went down.

 

^ Something else had to cause that.

 

It looked like everything else was the same, and the guy who made the video isn't a noob. He's no SPL guru either, but he seems like an honest guy. My assumption was that it was lower voltage, but I can't remember if they charged up again or not. If I can find the video I'll post it. I may even be wrong, it may have gone up and I just have a phase issue in the ol' noggin right now.

 

Duk is right. Other things must have been at play. I know a couple guys who lost upgrading the size of wire. But that was due to the wiring not fitting nicely into the terminal. Lost surface area inside the terminal. My opinion is the best size wire is what wi fit best. Not biggest is best.

question for ya? how do you like those vfl 200.1's I was thinking of selling my powerbass 4000xta and getting 2 americanbass vfl 200.1's. Would it be worth it?
