Bassrace Explorer build

That really depends. Those PB4ks are very solid reputable amps. i was going to buy one a while back from a local shop willing to help with a competitive price. if i remember right it was $850 all in. These VFL 200.1's are one of the best amps i have had the pleasure of owning and playing with. we clamped 2300rms at .5 dropping tto 11.6v!! and rising to 2.3ohm! thats amazing for a 2k rated amplifier. it doesnt get hot even in those conditions. however the American bass vfl 200.1 is nearly as expensive as the pb 4k if u can get competitor pricing on the PB.

the pb amps here $1000 plus tax and thats supposibly is competitor pricing. think your getting a way better deal. My amp has 2 xw power batteries running it and it clips when drops in power and gets hotter then a fire cracker, even to where it goes into thermal protection. I think some of that mind you is cause by the tuning i have on amp that i plan on changing. either way I was just thinking i'd be better off running 2 2k's then one 4k, and them ab amps look strong.

my pb runs a 1 ohm load. I have 6 runs of zero gauge from the battery under hood to battery in trunk. 3 positive runs and 3 negative runs, also have the big 3 done. In the trunk for battery power I have a xs power d3100 and a xs power d2700. I have the amp set to about half gain and low pass is set to about 30 and I use no bass boost.
