...thinking of getting one to as a secondary.
anyone heard of them? ever used them? what are your thoughts? better than a capacitor? yellow top? how would you go about hooking it up?

thanks

I've seen the ads, but I've never seen one up close.

Here'a good link for ya, I tend to get on "a roll" when I'm talking about power...

It's a good thread, with links to other good threads. Put yer reading glasses on

I'm using a BATCAP 400 in my car. I havent had any problems with it yet. And the price was very reasonable.

the company is pretty comitted to car audio. they had a big display booth at world finals. and they have cute models too. i don't have experience with them, but for the amount of money they spend to advertise, their product must be somewhat worthy.

^^ Advertising doesn't mean you have a good product though

But honestly... I haven't ever heard a bad thing said about Batcaps.. so you should be OK.

What do you mean by 'secondary'?

thanks for the input,
by secondary i mean like a second battery isolated in the truck (although ive read its better to use a solonoid for that purpose) i already have an yellow top under the hood.

ive read that a batcap is more like a capacitor (quick release) so i was wondering can you use one as the main battery or would it be better to use it as a "secondary"

Use the betcap as the secondary, installed in the back close to the amp terminals.. shorter the distance between the cap and amp the better.
