Question

I recently installed this amp in my Dodge Dakota Quad cab.Power wires run down the drivers side and the audio wires run down passenger side.

I have a Alpine head unit with a Scoche line converter(4 channels).

When I turn off the head unit or switch off the ignition there is a loud pop that comes thru the speakers. Other than this annoying feature everything works fine.

Does anyone know how to cure this?

I've checked all the wiring and it all looks ok. The ground is good and connected to bare metal.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It's not a tube amp.

It's a 4 channel amp.

I'll give it a try. That will isolate if it is caused by the line converter or the amp. I'm pretty sure it's the amp.
