Best 12" driver with 750 watts RMS?
So ive been wondering for a while now what is the best 12" driver with a supplied power of 750 watts RMS? im currently running a JL HD 750/1 and a 12w7 in a made to spec ported box but is there another sub(using the same amp) that would supply as much bass(or more)...a little more SQ wouldnt be bad either any suggestions?

LOL 1500 is a bit overkill, my car can barely handle the power demand on my HD already and i just put it in about a month ago and then school is starting soon iver heard abou the SSA Icons and Xcons, isnt the Xcon a better sub?

lol well i saved up for so long to get this setup but iuno i was just hoping that there was just something better, my hope is that by the end of summer i can build a system for SPL and SQ that i wont want to upgrade anytime in the near future!! I love my W7 but i keep hearing itll b better with a 1000/1 or upgrading to a 13w7 and a 1000/1 but then thats all SPL and i dont know how the SQ would be

SQ differences will be marginal with all those subs if applied correctly. As for output, that W7 already has around 30mm xmax. So dont concern yourself with SQ part so much, There is no SQ in loud, but if you want more output when needed, then you need more power, or more subs, or bigger sub/s, or all of the above. You either go strictly SQ, and turn down the sub output, and many capable subs will give you that including W7, and if you want to lean heavy on the volume ****, all of these subs will work as well, and as I said they will all give you a very similar performance, cause it will all be dependent on install and tuning. You will not get better SQ with this sub or that on your list, so if you have to ask about output, then that is your main concern here. W7 is very loud with proper power, and you will be hard pressed to get better output/sq ratio with other subs. So with the power you got you prolly got the best woofer already. An Icon will not beat W7 in output, it only wishes, an Xcon will give you about the same performance, so why waste time on choosing between the subs. But as we discussed in another thread already, you need two 12W6's with your power, and if you have a little more space, make the box a bit bigger to make the subs more efficient with power you already have.
You are not getting anywhere with these "sub vs sub" questions. Do what matters more. Bottom line you need more subs and more power. And that will cost more money, and there is no other way around it.
People are choosing other subs on the market over JL, cause they are cheaper alternatives, not because they are better. I really doubt that Xcon would be so much better than a W7 on same power, that you would say OMG. Recommended box size is the same, so you changing one apple for another identical one. So price is the only issue here not performance. You either stick with the W7 and add another one and get a bigger amp, or sell the W7 and get other two subs and again buy a bigger amp. Two subs will keep their composure better than one on high output, so you will be able to pushn them harder, so between the two subs you will have an earbleeding experince, but think about getting around 1500 watts to them, and I think if you have the space and weight is not an issue, adding another W7 is you best bet, cause two Icons will not do better, and I anticipate that two Xcons may need more power to get their full potential out.
Is money an issue?
