For the record, I have never owned a DD. Ive just played with them and I like 'em. Its about the only real "upper end" sub Ive had my hands on for a long enough time to give a good opinion.

 

And I get to spend the next couple of weeks enjoying the Focal quad coil 18's. Dude, you have a pm.

 

i don't have a DD9515..but i've heard them...n man...i'm just hitting you my opinions...i did recall saying that mtx is good as well..but i've never heard the 9500 mtx ...i'm just giving you my opinion from personal experience...its good that someone throws in another brand..now you have options..so weigh the differences..if there's any way you can hear the both of them in optimum enclosures..that would be great..so then you can know for yourself..which one is better suited to your needs..i don't think anyone's really trying to sell him stuff..well at least i'm not...

 

You got it all wrong.

DD is not all hype. So a few people have some for sale? So?
I own 4 of them, Yuli has 5, lots of people have DD's.

And they upgrade or get different ones.

Can you 350$ 10" sub take 2000watts? Mine can. I've done it. LOTS

BTW you could probably get a DD3515 for around 400 if you talk nice to certain people.

Chalk one more up for DD. And NO, I don't sell it, I just love it. MTX is not crap, however it can't compete with DD. A DD 3515 would be best I think if you only have 1kw rms to work with. I didn't sell my DD because I didn't like it, I sold it because I am going back to school. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

 

You think maybe the reason you never see them for sale used is because no one buys them in the first place?

My opinion is obviously biased but I'd also say DD..

OH... and Martin... the 35's you sold me actually took 3000w.

there has to be a reason that 90% of people at finals run DD at least in street class. I love my DD subs,I have owned L7s audiobun,american Bass.visonic hahaha, I have had 3000 watts to my DD aswell,and hope to put 4000+ to them in the next couple
weeks.just my 2 cents and experience with equipement

Have you tried the Rockford Fosgate's T215d subs yet? This sub can handle 100watts rms or 2000 watts max. We have one for only $300.00 if you're still looking.

 

Just so ALL of you know right now we are running 2 8500 10's off 2 EARTHQUAKE PHD10000's.
NO PROBLEMS...........
And the 9500's can take more...
All I was tryin to say is DD is out there and EVERYONE loves the sub.
Take a look at the stats.
The 9500 has been made for more then 2 years......
And NEVER have they had one sent back to be fixed.(It's on there website)
Now give DD a call.
I won't even get into that.
