best amp brand?

so yea im lookin for a new amp, dunno wat to get... i need something that will power 2 12" audiobahn ... 1000 RMS at 2 ohm roughly needed.... and i dont have alot of money. What brand or even model should i get?

yeah, there is no "best" brand but if you were to give a budget, im sure there would be a lot of people here willing to tell you what some good choices within that range would be

o well ... i was lookin more for like what people thought was best bang for your buck type of amps and what not.... i dont know i dont think i can afford to pay more than 300.... n i will buy off the net

You can probably find an Xtant X1001 on Ebay for under $400. Will do 1,000 RMS at 2 ohms. Very nice amp - used to have one.

Hmmmm for $300 its going to be hard to get a good 1000RMS amp, Id search EBAY and your local classifieds clean power dosnt come that cheap new as far as I know

there is no way you are goin to get a new amp for that much general rule for a good amp is a buck a watt for a good amp you can get cheaper ones for less i have seen 1000 watt amps for about 500 and do you need 2 ohms per sub like do you need a 2 ohm amp or a 1 ohm amp your goin to need to know

yes i know what i need 1000 watt rms 2 ohm stable ... bridged i guess i should have said! ... and i dont think i said i needed new.... but i think i have figured out what i am going to do for a amp thanks to steve

Or so it used to be, nowdays (well I heard it about 2 years ago) is that you pay about 45cents a watt, that is US dollars but not much difference anyways. Prices of amps went way down since the mass acceptance of Class D amps that are way cheaper to produce and buy

And they're cheaper to produce because the cost of raw materials (aluminum and copper) have sky rocketed?
