Alright, well more than likely you f**ked up your 6001bd because you had the subs paralleled to give a final 1 ohm load to an amp that's designed for 2ohms minimum. The d4 means dual 4ohm voice coils on each sub. If they are paralleled then you get a 2ohm load for each sub, if the two subs are then paralleled you get a final 1ohm load to your amp. You therefore need a 1 ohm stable amp that delivers approx 1000 watts rms to get max performance from the sub...or you can series wire the two 2 ohm subs for a 4ohm final load, in which case an amp that delivers 1000watts rms at 4ohms will work just as well or better but usually cost more.

he only has one 12" subwoofer
that means he probably had it wire down to 2 ohms
if you can find an amp that does roughly 500rms @ 2 ohms you should be fine
