Need to get a new battery for the car(Mustang). I NEVER run the stereo with the car not running, so I don't need a deep cycle. What should I be looking for in terms of preformance? Cold cranking amps?

Thanks,

Lawrence.

Crank amps and reserve capacity are what you're looking for.

^ Is there anything else on a battery to look for? Usually they are the only 2 specs given. Try a Red Top Ultima. I had one back in 93 after they first came out. Excellent battery.

I forgot one thing. Warranty.

Warranty length and exchange terms. That will indicate whether it's a battery coming from a reputable company that is going to back up their product.

I like having 60 month non-proactive exchange warranty on mine. The longer the exchange period, the more confident you can be for making the right choice.

Then kill a couple cells in it and bring it back before the warrenty is up and get a new one.

No wait.....that would be dishonest. Don't do that.

Just go get the biggest one, with the most CCA, that will fit in your car, from Wal Mart or Crappy Tire.

I usually just get the cheapest, most powerful one I can get. Motomaster eliminators have good warranty, too.
