Best bet for cheap bass

I want to add a little more low end to my system. I have a Pioneer 3900 head unit and Type S speakers all the way around in my 99 Grand Am. A buddy of mine has a 200W RMS Rockford Fosgate sub that puts out all the bass I would need, so I am trying to find something with equal power but less than the 500 he spent after taxes. I DO NOT want to buy anything used or over the internet.

So far I have found:

Canadian Tire
and
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0084256&catid=

The MTX setup would be 350 after taxes and the Basslink would also be 350 after taxes and a wiring kit.

Which of these setups do you guys prefer, and what else can you suggest in the same price range.

I agree with Hott, Mach 5 is based out of here in Winnipeg. The guy is hella nice and even let me into his beeeeautiful house to talk about his subs. You won't be disappointed with them, and they are crazy cheap.

There is lots of nice deals via the net. But if those are your two options the Infinty Basslink is the one I would choose.

Buying over the internet is the best way if you want to beat him.
My friend has spent over $2000 on his system, bought all locally, and my current $600 setup kicks the crap out of his, but he has a nicer deck. Can't wait for my Pioneer DEH-P8600MP to arrive, then mine is way better, for less than half.

Online is the only way to go.

i agree with above, mach 5 is the way to get loud, sound good for cheap.
a guy at the show on the 11th, hit 146.3 with 2 $60 mj 18" subs. i have their maw 15" sub, and i only have 125-150rms going to it, and it get fairly loud. my guess, in and around 130db, after hearing what i heard at the show and comparing to what i heard. cant wait to get an amp on it that can push it the way it wants to be.

I wouldn't buy any of that garbage. Find a Digital Designs dealer that is near you and get a little 8" 1508 or 1008a sent to you if you don't have one by you. This is one on about 200w in a T-line ported enclosure.

Well that Mach 5 stuff does look pretty good. The shipping is amazing cheap to, as I live in Saskatoon. I'll ignore what Fixxer said because he called something garbage that everyone else called great, so he is obviously involved with the company that sells the sub he was trying to get me to buy.

If I was to buy from Mach 5 I would go with the MAW-10. But where can I find a amp to power that thing that I can afford. It would be 65 for the sub plus 70 for a good box. So unless I can find am amp for 160 bucks, that BassLink would be a better deal. I have been talking to a couple guys on this forum who have used stuff for sale, but I am not going to buy anything from them. A buddy of mine got f*cked over in a used private sale over the net. So if I do buy anything over the net, it will be something new and from a site that doesn't want you to pay with paypal.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap amp then?
