hey guys. well my ol DXZ545mp finally gave out on me. it lasted a long time in my eyes. had it in every vehicle I've owned since the lumina.

now i am very pleased with clarion.

price really isn't much of an issue, but i don't wanna spend more then $500 CDN.

i have been looking at clarions again. but I'm not sure if the 2008 models have been released in Canada yet. as their site does not seem to be updated for this year yet. i know the American site has the 08 model's.

I'm open to other brands. not looking to buy from other shops(unless they can cut me a better deal. lol).

Their is sound obsessions here in Lloyd and they have been my main stream supplier for decks and component's.

but i can be tempted to guy else where.

how is Alpine or Pioneer?

i still have my ol pioneer kicking in the pick up and she's been around the block a couple times...

so any suggestion's.
this will be going into the 06 SS T/C cobalt(if i ever finish the 69 road runner). I'm looking to purchase it as soon as the money from my Dana 60's comes in.

also what are the advantage's and disadvantage's of this USB stuff?
i have been outta the loop in terms of technologies for decks since 2004 so alot has changed.

I like my Alpine I can't remember what model I have...I think its the 9857. It is prone to skipping though I use it for SPL and it skips at like 140db which is really pretty bad. I had a clarion before that I liked much better but unforunately the new clarion decks just don't do it for me

yeah im looking for brand new off the shelf and into my ride. so its gotta be the new model's. would get an in dash touch screan but then i gotta take funding from wheels and tires and am not about to do so.
