what was the best sounding car you've ever personally built, what gear did it use, and what made it the best sounding, best image, stage, amazing depth, im intersted to know what products guys have used to make their "best sounding" car, older products, newer products or a mix of both

See my sounddomain page no. 1 for pics of my Avenger Dukk built it, I wired it (yay) and it was the best sounding car I've had yet. To my ears, it did everything well. Great tonality, imaging was good (had a bit of rainbow effect though), excellent volume and linearity to go with it. Could have used some more width and depth but whose couldn't? I wanna hear one of these car with the singer at the hood ornament and left channel guitar player 3 ft. outside the window . It was overall a very nice sounding car.

i would like to hear a car witht the singer on the hood ornament as well, i heard eldriges 4-runner about 7 years ago when it was full of kicker, with the veritas midbass and the altec horns, great depth but sounded for lack of a batter word, boring, hows your rt coming, ive got neat plans for mine this winter, fat whacker listened to it and liked it, but i think i can make it better, gonna do some major dash mods this winter to hopefully improve it

My last car. 1991 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.
-Pioneer HU
-Oldschool MTX amps
-Boston Acoustics ProSeries speakers
Took a bit of tweaking with that big dash and lot's of glass but when it was done it truely was incredible to listen to.

I sold my R/T back in January I'm afraid. Got a minivan for the wife I picked up a 85 Chevy shortbox though as my toy to play with. Installing the system currently Got a mix of gear to go in. Some old skool Rockford, Concept, Canton, B&W, Alpine, Pioneer. Should be nice when done

Well, for all the professional installers, it's hard to get someone else's car to sound as good as your own because of all the hours of trial, and tuning. I would have had to charge someone about $10,000 for the hours I put into my best sounding vehicle, and the install looked very basic. It was a 1986 VW Jetta, it had an Alpine 7618 and 5959 for a source that went to a Soundstream SVX4 crossover to a KLW Phantom Bass. Amplifiers wer three Soundstream Class A 6.0's. One ran a set of Vifa tweeters, another ran a set of Vifa mids, and the last one was bridged onto a pair of Soundstream Reference SS10r Limited subs. I had Audioquest speaker wire, Monster XLN RCA, and Streetwires power distribution and power wire. I have pics of it somewhere, but I would have to scan them.
I spent about a week on the original install, and then spent about four months moving speakers and tuning, and that was without any EQ's.
