best sub for my amp and box?

hey, i'm new to car audio so i need some opinions on a sub to match my amp.

i've got a Kenwood 9105D amp - 500watt rms at 4 ohms http://www.kenwood.ca/Car_Entertainment/Amplifiers/KAC-9105D

i have a small 10" sealed enclosure with about .8 cubic feet

price is pretty much a non-issue but cheap isnt bad either haha

btw this is what i'm replacing http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/sw4000/sw4200.html

thanks!

You have a fairly large amp. If you are looking to use it for it's intended purpose, get rid of the box. Do you have room for a proper slot port box and can you fit a 12". Anyone can sell you a sub but the limiting factor is going to be the box. It is really all about the box. That much power and a sub that can handle the power dictates that you are indeed going to need a new box.

well thats just the thing, i have just enough room under my extended cab seat for the box, amp, and tools/tow rope. i've had a few people tell me go for a higher end shallow sub that can handle the power, but i have no idea where to start.

You could start with the Kenwood shallow 10 or 12, either will handle the power for a reasonable price and the enclosure volumes are fairly small. A custom box will bring either one to life while fitting in your available space.....

There are other brands as well, I'm sure someone will chime in with some names shortly.......
