Are they the stock speakers? 3.5's, or have GM changed that in the newer Z24's? If they are the stock ones, and you don't have them crossed over, I would guess that they are crapping out with the bass. Running them off deck power or an amp?

its an 87, and I do believe they're runnin off the deck. They're factory. The only onez I had replaced when gettin any audio upgrades was the rear 6x9's cuz they sucked and thought I blew 'em, if they weren't blown already they'da been blown soon enough lol

If they are still working after 16 years in the dash, I would say you got your money's worth. If you want nice 3.5's, check out the JL TR series ones. Make sure you get a passive crossover(cap) in line with them, to cut the bass out.

how much is that gonna cost me? And I'ev had the car for a year now its that old barely any rust with only 119,000 kms on it I'd say i got a pretty good deal for $1,200 lol. Not a rip on the interior either buddy kept it factory and well kept.

JL's if they are the 3.5's should be around $100-120 a pair. Caps should be around $5-10 for a pair. Good luck
