Box for 2 1230w's
I'm giving mine 400 WRMS... seems to be taking it fine in a sealed enclosure built to Infinity specs, although I'm reasonably careful with it.
However if they're not "pounding", amp power may not be your problem... the output will only get marginally higher at 400W compared to 300W, at least that's how it is on my system.
You may want to look at your box characteristics, polarity, size of your power wires, gains, head unit preamp voltage, etc.

don't forget to look at your source material also. Different tunes have different amounts of the type of bass you like. I can't imagine that two of those infinitys don't deliver enough bass as I have heard them with much less power and they can be heard a block away.
i think one of them may be wired backwards internally. I am going to do the battery test with the subs as soon as I get a chance and then that might fix it. Does one of them reversed not run them in series? that would explain the low load. I'll let you guys know.
