Brand new and need help

Alright heres the problem i installed all my audio equipment in my truck, new deck new amp new sub but the sub wont run and i cant think why it wouldnt. Its a 10" CVT kicker and it runs off of a Alpine MRP-M500 amp. If anyone has any suggestions that would be wicked. And if anyone lives in the maple ridge area and would be willing to take a look at it that would be awesome too.

have you tried another speaker? this will tell you if the problem is with the sub or elsewhere. Does the amp's power light turn on? Is there power getting to the amp..check with a test light or voltmeter. if you have power and no sound, then look at the rca cables, try switching the cables into the amp..use the front or rear ones that you have a signal. It may be a setting in your deck...check to see if the subwoofer is turned off or the level is at minimum or cross over is in high pass mode and the setting is too high. All you need for sound is; power to the amp, signal to the amp, signal to the speaker, and both speaker and amp working. Just logically eliminate one thing at a time until you find the problem.
