Brightness setting on CD5030 doesn't work

I just tried the brightness setting today, and it doesn't seem to get out of default brightness.

All of the wires are color matched so I don't understand why it won't work.

Yes the wire is connected properly, But I turned off the clock...

Hmm maybe it's because the clock is not on so it keeps it on default brightness. I will check this out soon.

The car is a 2006 Corolla.

Ok I just went and tested it out, I set the clock and adjusted the dimmer. It seems to dim the text on the screen so I guess it is working properly now. Although I thought it would adjust the brightness of the colour around the HU instead. I guess that's the way it's suppose to be...

Oh well

I e-mailed Eclipse and they said the colour does not dim. They replied to my message in about 5 minutes, quite impressed!
