i agree with you to an extend,
i used to work at futureshop, so i have a rough idea what cost vs retail is..
I agree Some products are down to 20% profit, but we also sell soem products with 60% profit,
so i think , and the better companies out there dont lower the retail as much as the cheaper name brands...
so YES, not all compnaies have high profits, but i;d say close to half still do....but NONE of the better companies would EVER deal with the consumer directly...best way to get a GOOD price on a product is through a local shop or on the buy and sell section [img]smile.gif[/img]

Actually the higher priced stuff is also alot cheaper than it used to be, because they are competing with the cheaper product. Also, there is some product with more margin than others, but it is generally the inexpensive stuff like wiring harnesses and dash kits etc.
