hey guys...
I bought my Rockford HE sub from Direct Audio (Kennedy, before Lawrence..across from Future Shop)....
anywayz the woofer died on me so I took it back and the owner sent it in to Rockford (Orlando) for repair and I received back in a months time...
after a few months it broke down on me again...so I took it back and I found that the old owner was gone and there was a new owner..he said that he will send it in to Rockford (Orlando)..I waited for one month still no woofer in...1 and a half month past finally he said that my woofer is back...so I take it home install it and it works fine for 5 minutes than it just dies..fed as I was I left it...
next day I called Rockford's 1800 number nad spoke to a gentleman..he checked my account and told me that the woofer was sent in on September 2003 (that was the first time it broke down)and it hasn't been in since..I told about Direct Audio and thye tried to track down my woofer serial number if it was sent in a second but did't find it in the database..so he told me to send it in to Mississauga and so I did and was happy to receive it back in 2 weeks and they had repaired the wire around the cone..
most of these people at Direct Audio are not even certified to install car audios..I was told by my friend at Best Buy who works at the car audio installation section...
so my suggestion is don't go there...and for sure I won't be going back to them...

I had a similar problem with a local retailer. I brought both my RF subs in for warranty (I blew the surround out of both subs). A month later, he told me FR would not warranty them because the said the reason the surrounds blew is from being torn by a screwdriver.
I called RF in Mississauga and they told me to send them in. 5 days later, two brand new subs arrived at my door.
Thx RF.
