Buying stuff online

Hey guys, new here and just looking for a bit of advice.

I recently purchased a car (98 Honda Accord) and I'm looking to buy some stereo gear. Does anyone know of some good online retailers, preferably located in Canada?

I was looking at some stuff on SonicElectronix and their prices are good, but the shipping costs and duty fees are the troubling part. There's a deck and sub I'm particularly interested in...could anyone give me a ballpark figure on how much duty I'd pay for that?

Any help you guys can offer will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

if you order by phone at Sonicelectronix you can ask them to ship USPS... then you dont have to pay duties

^^like Jordy said...do your homework if you plan on buying across the border, it can be very tricky and costly if you don't know what you are doing. Many of the vendors on this site offer excellent value and from what I have observed, are very upstanding guys. Given your relative lack of experience in online purchasing...I suggest you contact one or all of the vendors on this site. Don't get me wrong, I purchase a lot from the states, and there are deals to be had, but I've been doing it for years and my previous business was importing/exporting electronic equipment...so I know what I'm doing. I always suggest that less experienced persons deal locally.
