The DD2512 indeed is a good choice of subwoofer for this application. When not tuned for ***** to the wall output, they have great tonal response. The MB Quart is a alright sub, not my first choice but still a great sub. The Eclipse is great, no problems except for absolutely no warranty if you blow them. (unlike pretty much all of their competition). Based on that alone I do not recommend the Eclipse subs.

 

As far as dollars goes, that range will get you into some RD Audio Classics fairly easily...as well as some Elevation SQX's.
