If you want amatures... then why do you care whether or not Yuli would compete?

You can't have it both ways... either be friendly to the newbs or to the hardcore... you can't please both.

can you imagine an amp running at 0.25 ohm playing music? or even at it's rated load i would imagine alot of fuse poppping would be happening. people will cry and not come back
It is an interesting rub, tones are easy but music is hard for big numbers. Playing music vs playing tones with low impedance loading is a big issue, can the amps and the woofer stand up and play without melting. Sometimes competition is best with the loudest numbers sometimes it is more competitive with additional challenges (using music CD's, sensor location etc.) I dont think of it as a limitation since it doesn't stop you from being loud you just have to be smarter. Some wont like just because it isnt dbdrag.

Imagine that, building a system to play music instead of a one note wonder. I personally like it. A bit of a challenge to find the right tunes and so on. And not everyone has a termlab at home to figure out the vehicle and system sweet spot. So I think it brings it to a more level playing field.

Rich what i was tryin to say is from my point of view forcing everyone to play music is not a good idea unless you are trying to make noobs stay noobs forever. for those guys who are noobs and dont really care about db drag it doesnt matter if they play tones or music. but for the guys who are using CSPL as a stepping stone towards something bigger it would kinda put a dent in the learning curve as they would not have the opportunity to work and compete with tones like db drag, iasca and pretty much everything else out there.

thats just what i think. im looking forward to seein your db drag and cspl ideal take off and cspl getting more exposure.
