So a "friend of his who qualifies as an expert"... I know who is friend is, and if he'd chosen to post under his own name, he might have been recognized as an "expert", but instead he chose to register under the "ironic" name of Dr. Meyer - who as is mentioned in the article died a long time ago and was a German prof. The "qualified expert" also chose to speak in a technical language beyond the comprehension of most individuals.

Simply put, "Dr. Meyer" chose the role of troll - and was treated as such by some members. But Mr. Lee should know how trolls are treated - he did tire of forum politics back in '93. Which predates my online experience by a year or so. It wasn't until '95ish that I saw the first mention of r.a.c. in any magazine.... but whom am I to question? I certainly don't recall any forums discussing car audio back in the bbs days.

I'll leave it with this quote "The danger of the internet is that you cannot often verify the credentials of those who put up a web site."

The same can obviously be said about those who post on a site. Whether he was right or wrong, we all know who Dukk is (you might have noticed his first and last name is in sig). On the other hand, those who know the true identity of "Dr. Meyer" are myself, Matman and the rest from the "school" and Mr. Lee.
