Cool, thanks for the input, Chris! I think the amps seem pretty burly, for sure.

I've had experience with a Cadence Z7000CF. Great amp, lots of features. Gets fairly warm but never shutdown. Very well laid out and clean curcuit board. My impression was that it was a very good quality piece of equipment.

Thanks Formulator! Sounds like the amps are a good choice at least.

They don't take a lot of power. My small ol' battery in my accent and the stock alternator are enough to power the Z4000 amp and 2 UltraDrive 12s".

Personally, I haven't heard anything better than Cadence for sound quality. Their service department is great, I called them up when I was having problems with the gain setting on the amp and they helped me step by step all the way though.

A lot of people come to me and ask me what the hell I have, and they always go Cadence who?, and I crack it and they are like... Ahhhhh.. Cadence, good ****!

for a while i owned the 4000+ (or something to that effect) amp... was disapointed with it. the noise floor seemed mighty high, the x-over unprecise and although rated at 90wrms per channel i am sure it was about 60 per channel. i know its not a fair comparison but when i put it against my mcintosh it seemed pretty nauseating.
nonetheless, the price was right...no idea what they retail for now. my advice, hear it before you buy it!

Thanks Mr. Marco, I do plan to audition the gear, before I buy. I heard the Z9000 running two of the Cadence Beast 15's, it did the trick for sure.
