can 8" drivers hammer?

it would be silly to do a wall of 6 8's in a truck.
someone on the smd or ssa forums did a wall of like 20+ 8's and it was alright.
stick to what you know will sound good. in some cases, a pair of 8"s do well off good power, but in others, you might be heavily disappointed.

its not going to be a wall like you are thinking. I am going to fill the midgate in my truck as a sub box so it will be sort or a wall lol thats why I wanted to get 6 r 8 of them as I have the room and It will be great because it will be clean and not seen lol.
I was also talking to an old friend of mine and he can get me some stuff from hertz car audio any thoughts on there stuff?

wouldnt go out and say they are the best (at $250 a pop) cuz they are pricey but good. i got 4 DD 1508 that are pretty much the same specs @ 1800 watts peak i got them wired up to a rockford 4000W @ 1 ohm in a 1.2 cu foot box each hitting low 150's for the price of $150 a sub you cannot complain

if you up for something different you can get elemental design 6.5" pair of 2 for $160 put them in a 1.2cu foot ported box with 500wattamp and ou would be suprised with the sound, everyones first guess was a single 10
goes to show its all in the box design
also have just 2 8" mtx 5500's in a 1.2 cu foot ported box with a mtx 500w mono block amp and they pound great in my regular cab truck

I've run both the Arc Audio ARC 8" (sealed) and the TREO SSi 8" (ported) with very very good results. 8's are fast, can put out some great low end, small-ish enclosures and low mounting depth requirements (for the most part). I'm surprised more people don't use them.
BTW, saying that such and such regarding something audio related is the best you can get is ridicuous. Everyone hears things differently. So they may be great to you, but will suck ***** to someone else.
