Can this happen?
I have a set of 6.5 Infinity Kappa Perfect components in my front doors and been having some problems with my amps reading a low impedence load at higher volumes. My SS 700s shifts to high current from high power and when I hook up my older PPI AM 2150 the low impedence light blinks? Yet when I test the speaker leads to the Xovers they both read 4.1 ohms. There dosent seem to be any problems a moderate levels but once you turn it up it happens. Can there be a problem with the speakers/Xovers at higher volumes? Has any one heard of this happening?
Thanks

have you checked for a high impedance short to ground
my SS rubi's would cut out and the prot light would come on when I cranked it up, found a 12Kohm reading to ground on one of my tweeter leads .......ran a new wire (was using the factory wires) and no more problems

Will check it out but I ran new wires and soldered the conections when I installed them so.....? I wonder if I am overpowering them and they are botteming out or something? Thanks for the reply
