Canadian Online car audio purchasing?
#1
I hope I'm not transgressing any board rules, but can anyone tell me where I can source equipment online, in CANADA? There are a myriad of American sellers, but I can't find many good Canadian ones.
I'm looking for Phoenix Gold interconnects, and perhaps Alpine head units.
thanks, and apologies if this post is improper!

well you could pay for it cheaper on line and have to pay more for shipping and hope that you dont get any problems. cause then youd have to pay for shipping again and again and again. or you can do support your local dealer and establish a relationship, especially if car audio is something your gonna do over and over again. and then get the service from your new relationship over and over and over again. there are tonnes of guys here in the business and asking for hints on how to bypass all of them might not get you too much help. good luck in finding a diamond for a dime.

This is a tough call. I like supporting local small dealers, cause they love car audio and do anything they can to support it. The bigger box stores, I don't care much about, because they seem to only love money and don't give a crap about audio and you.
The biggest problem is that some items as listed above can be had for MUCH cheaper. But for a lot of things, you will get as good or a better deal all around at your local shop.
Any smaller items tend to be no good online because if you buy something that is worth 60 bux at a local shop for 18.99 online, then u factor in shipping, duties and the time, it will usually come pretty close in price.
Either way, to answer your question, I haven't found anyone like you said online. Talk to JordyO and he might be able to direct you to a nice online store that will be coming soon I hope
Good luck,
Craig G

But honestly do you think a deck with a MRSP of over 2 grand would break in 6 months? </font>[/QUOTE]Like RedZone said though, this isn't really the best place to be making your argument.
A LOT of the members here make their money through retail channels. They see the local shop as the only way to go because it's how they make their money.
Just do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
