i am putting in a new stereo and i got this cap from a friend cuz he said he could never get it to work.... so i was wondering how you can charge it with out the light thing.... and how you hook it into the system... and if there is any way of testing it to see if it is actually working..... any help would be awesome

 

the test light is only 6 bucks at canadian tire.put upstream from your amps.
