Differences Between Digital Caps? HELP
#2
IMO caps are a waste of money, all they really can do is stop light dimming. Your money is better spend on a second battery or a larger alternator. I once used a $70 energizer car battery in series with my regular battery to help cover the draw of my system. IT worked better then any cap could have.... ALthough its better to get a battery that is made to sit in a trunk cause there are said to be occasional issues with toxic gasses and whatnot coming off the battery

voided is right caps alot of the time are over rated. there only good for a couple of seconds and are drained out especially if you are running spl. there not bad for a sq system for daily use but a second battery would help out alot more overall.

Caps are misused alot of the time. I would not put a cap in a car that's lights were dimming. The reason i use a cap in my car is to filter the power signal. In MOST (not all) cases you'll get much more consistent and cleaner bit of power off the cap than off a battery.
His question was whats the difference between digital caps and normal caps....
The difference is digital caps have a digital voltmetere on the top

If your looking at a digital cap that is $199 then for an extra $25-$50 you can get a batcap which are killer equal to 200 farads and 100 farads, i've been doing alot of testing with them and they do wonders for a daily driver
