Car Audio Problem again, with new amp!

Hey, got the amp today in the mail from smartass! The amp is a t2-1400. My system still doesnt work. When the amp is on, is that U supposed to be lit up? because if so there is no power getting to it....very frusterating. I did see a spark at one point at the +12V connection, so power was getting to the amp I guess...the fuse from the battery isnt broken, but the glass around it has shattered. I assume that must be replaced, and it will be asap. But I just dont understand. Maybe my original amp wasn't busted to begin with.......And even before the fuse glass was broken it didnt work, it shattered due to me being unpatient and too rough when plugging it in....

I ripped out the carpet to make sure the RCAS and Remote arent broken or obstructed, and they arent. I got 2 ground wires bolted directly to the chassis, and all paint is removed to make sure of a clean ground. I tried one of my dads subs(thinking maybe my sub was shot). Still nothing. I dont know what else to do?!

Get one of those 12volt readers, looks like a pen with a light in it and a grounding clamp, use it to see if your remote turn on actually works when you turn on the car.

If you dont have one, try using a small wire and connect it from your distro block to your remote input on the amp and see if that turns on the amp.

Okay, did that. Power now gets to the amp. But amp is in protection (red light lit) what do I do?

both are lit red. Just read in the manual

"In a functional state, the LED glows "red" and indicates "power on". Should the amplifier sense any faul...glow "blue"

So is this normal??????

It seems like red is the normal color.
Seems like you have a crappy or inadequate remote turn on.

I would suggest against leaving the remote turn on connected to your power...good way to drain your battery slowly. Fix that REM.

yup fixed....i dont know how to fix the remote turn on....

so I am going to add a switch inbetween it and put it near the stearing wheel so it is easy to access....that a good idea?
