Damping Factor with Calculator

Put in your numbers at the very bottom and see what the figures look like for yourself.

Making a few posts on a car audio site makes you smarter than fs or bb car audio sales person.

The big box stores gets the factory B grade items. (as per fourms when BB in the USA got to sell Alpine)

I don't mean to brag or anything, but my local BB car audio sales guys know very little about car audio (a total of 2 knew about Cerwin Vega ie my old subs, and one heard my setup and I told him I did a 138.6, he said he was probably doing 150, and he had 1 JBL 12 in the JBL box) and the one who did know stuff quit. I mean, I'm sure there are guys that know a lot, I would just assume they're few and far between.

anyways, no new ones from me, but some of you guys have some hilarious additions

technically it can lol.......for example, 3 10" in a small crx box are nearly maxed out with 7-10k. My no-wall set-up with 2 18" and 10k "clamped" and the subs are hardly working. thats why in SS vehicles, each sub can take nearly 40k without breaking.
