we got a Mac scanner, gives us engine light, ABS, airbag and much much more that has helped out alot.
They are about $2000 but we also use it to diagnose and repair electrical problems that mechanics cant or dont want to do.
worth it if you are gonna use it, if you just want to clear codes the Crappy tire all the way

are you just looking to reset codes ? or diagnose what was screwed up ?
going with the cheepeset scanner can really pis ya off to, really go and buy a snap-on scanner off debay that has pretty up to date software and youll be set, just make sure it can communicate with the CAN protocaoll system as well

we use the Autostart PRG-1000 to clear codes, works really well and easy to use and isnt to expensive.
