Car Code Reader

Does anyone know where I can obtain a code reader?

We have had problems with installs - we change a deck, etc and the engine light comes on - how do we delete codes?

You can get a reader from Canadian tire, but to reset the codes, you would need a Manufacturer reader, Other then that I got nothing!lol

we got a Mac scanner, gives us engine light, ABS, airbag and much much more that has helped out alot.

They are about $2000 but we also use it to diagnose and repair electrical problems that mechanics cant or dont want to do.

worth it if you are gonna use it, if you just want to clear codes the Crappy tire all the way

are you just looking to reset codes ? or diagnose what was screwed up ?
going with the cheepeset scanner can really pis ya off to, really go and buy a snap-on scanner off debay that has pretty up to date software and youll be set, just make sure it can communicate with the CAN protocaoll system as well

Thats what we use, works great but its only for erasing codes, it will not read them.
