SD card/mini-reader plugged into USB
Has anyone out there tried this? Just curious, can't see why it wouldn't work. I have a bunch of 1 GB SD cards and would be nice to use these instead of getting another usb jump-drive.

I have a 4GB card plugged into my USB port. Only thing I use anymore. Got tired of burning DVD every time I made changes to my music collection. If the price of a 16GB SD card drops enough I will get one so I can fit my entire collection on it.

Flash memory is the way to go, although I would never fit my entire music collection onto a 16 GB card, lol!
I am on my third deck in 2 years, I drive lots of gravel and nothing seems to take the dust and pounding. My last deck is in getting fixed or replaced under warranty due to skipping. I bought this cheapo deck off eBay which takes SD card. No more skipping! I want to get a good quality deck eventually and noticed the Eclipse have just a USB connection, hence my question about plugging a mini-card reader in. You can get the real small card readers and then no more cd's. CDs are such a pain, you have to have space to store them, damaged discs not playing, they are wasteful. Don't know why the HU manufactureres don't build a card reader into the units. I think I have seen some out there with card readers, but they are not common.
