Looking to buy a decent priced (under $300) deck that supports cd, mp3 and aux-in. Considering Clarion DXZ545MP, Sony CDX-F5700, Alpine 9825, Pioneer DEH 4600 MP. I'd need adaptors for the Alpine and Pioneer.

Any opinions on these or suggestions for others? The deck will just drive the stock speakers so I don't care too much about pre-outs. Definitely don't care about motorized faceplates or swirly colour displays. Decent sound, good reliability and an aux input is what I'm mainly looking for.

Then if you don't care, grab an Aiwa mp3 deck off of future shop or ebay

They would do the job for you and they have aux in built right into the front panel of the unit.

I'd rather have it in the back, would make for a neater install. How are the Aiwa decks for reliability/sound compared to the others I mentioned?

They are made by Sony, and not bad quality.
Just not the best!

Clarion is worth a look, not sure about the other ones.

Thanks for your suggestions. I found a good deal on the Sony and went with it.

I got a KD-SX9350, it has changer controls and AUX input on the faceplate via a mini headphone jack.

Also plays MP3 of course, has 3x4v preouts, sub level control and so on.
JVC was the best IMO for MP3 playback, much faster that Pioneer and Clarion.

I have a KD-SH909 and am very happy with it.
