I was wondering what was everyones take on this sub

ill be replaceing 2 12' Kicker L5's with them, are they any good, is a 15 a different kind of bass then a 12?. Can i expect anything like the L5's?

 

i find bass from a 15 to be more of a powerful and deeper shaking bass where a 12 is not as hard hitting but just as loud.
like a 15 will shake your seats where a 12 wont... idn. thats my take.oh and are those the old vmax's?

 

no, its an old "Vega158" are they like bottom of the barrell kinda thing?, a guy is selling em here for $400 for a pair of 15's, a box and a cap, worth it?

 

I know from PErsonal experience Vega's are a great sub, however $400 is alot of money for a Bottom end, entry level POS sub!!! if your looking for a good deal, check out Smartass or Forbidden's websites!!

ya..im trying to come up with 650+ for a 3512, pisses me off i lend ppl money but when its time to collect..there "broke" or just cant find em..BUT..once i do some money rounded up..ill be buying a 3512 i was actually looking at sundown audio the saz-1500d i think it is, $550 for that..thats pretty damn good, compared to the 7 something the regular price is..but i havent heard much of sundown..so i dont know.

 

The Sundowns are pretty awsome amps over built and tons of power.

 

I for one would not replace a kicker driver let alone an l5 with a bottom end vega now if it where a pair of vega vega's maybe.
