It has a 900 once magnet...the WHOLE thing weighs in at 320lbs.

So really it has ONLY 56.25lbs of actual magnet.

there's a LOT of excess aluminum in that thing, but it looks cool, so that's excusable

I bet the top/back plates also weight a lot...

MTX should put like 12 of them in a wall... IN A TANK...

250kw of power should be enough for a good burp

4 of those in an extreme vehicle would be doable. say 25000 RMS to each. watch em fly!

I dont know how a thread on CES can get so off track...
The Alpine BMW X5- Mike and Steve put together one sweet ride, truly a work of art and a wonderful showcase of Alpine's State Of The Art. It was a pleasure to listen to it... it accomplishes its mission, to let the world know Alpine is serious about what they are doing and are darn good at it too. The body was understated, the interior was purpose built... truly my favorite demo vehicle and a bargain for Alpine (it is worth the investment). The pics do not do it justice. The car even has an AC unit to directly cool the amps (it could use an extra one though, it gets mighty warm in there with music playing)

It's nice that they give demos for a vehicle with such a large amount of work done to it. Was their a huge line-up to listen to it? How long did you get to listen and what did you listen to?
