it (X5) accomplishes its mission, to let the world know Alpine is serious about what they are doing and are darn good at it too
Don't get me wrong, I can completely appreciate the effort and craftsmanship of the latest string of Alpine demo vehicles but I do not agree with the concepts. A real feat would be for them to now duplicate the sound experience with a conventional set of front seats in it.

It's nice that they give demos for a vehicle with such a large amount of work done to it. Was their a huge line-up to listen to it? How long did you get to listen and what did you listen to?
I considered it the highlight of the trip (though seeing the Blue Man Group and hearing the Halcro system was up there too) and frankly it was an honor. The vehicle did many things very well and does make me think about buying some F#1 stuff.

Not to be confrontational
but what does it show Alpine is serious about? Making custom one off cars that are no longer street legal?

BUT you have a valid point (as usual) it is not a real world car, but a real world car wouldn’t have had the ENTIRE CES abuzz over the Alpine demo vehicle either. The point of the car is to sell Alpine and this F#1 vehicle was very effective a that
The Morel car did a very good job, as a real world car
The Genesis car would have done very well as a real world car (except Ron Buffington was in a major wreck on the way and totaled the BMW)
The TRU car was very good as a real world car
The Beyma minicar was very good (only $200 in drivers were playing the whole show!!! and it sounded great…. Check out Beyma)
BTW kudos to Clarion and Troy. They had the slickest real world cars from a visual/ HP point of view. The Troy Barracuda was my dream car wooooooo it was the real world car we all dream of (it was a static audio display w/ RF gear). And the cars in the Clarion booth rocked …especially the green roadster…I didn’t get a chance to listen to the Clarion cars but that is the nature of CES

Subs in the front dash, mid woofs in front and the rear (I didnt look for subs in the rear) I could not tell you where the xover point was but the mid-woofs (front and rear) went pretty low (maybe 60 Hz)... sorry I was misleading
