Cheap/Entry Level 3 Way Systems?

Long story short I never thought I would be spending money on the stereo of my TJ but after multiple water dips the OEM sub and lower dash speakers no longer work. Who woulda thought they werent water proof? But anyways I am looking for a cheaper/entry level 3 way component system to make a sound bar out of thats mounted above my head so it wont get wet. I have no room for a large sub so thats why I want a 3 way so i can get some mid bass from the system.

LOL no need for marine... all of my speakers will now be mounted above chest level which is much higher then the waist level I have encountered on many occasions

I would just get some good 6x9's and give em lots of juice...3 way components are a waste of money mounted in the location you've mentioned. 6x9 co-axials with dome tweeters will sound good, get plenty loud and if you can mount them in big enough boxes or make a soundbar out of fibreglass where the volume of the whole bar is used for the speakers, the bass will be pretty good. A pair of JBL power 963 (or gto) 6x9's will do the trick. I doubt that there's any 3 way comp set that can deliver the bass output of a set of 6x9s..except for maybe ones with 8,9 or 10 inch bass drivers..and they're very expensive.

I agree with Denonite, however if you're set on this, hertz has their Energy series 3-ways. ESK163L.

If you're set on a 3 way this one from Eclipse is a great deal if you can get it.

I sold quite a few of those Eclipse sets, quite a few happy customers with them as well. No Morel or anything but for the price I think they are great speakers.
