The cheaper tha amp...
I just picked up an amp for my dads car, an urban audio purple joby 300x1@4 ohms max
I got it bridged @2 ohms mono and its not even breakin a sweat?
what gives???
Also have a friend whos beatin the royal **** out of a pyle amp the same way and that amp keeps poundin??
So why not show any 4 ohm mono 2 channel amp a 2 ohm load?

Amps are rated for the best possible senario. Everyone knows that if you have a really good power source heavy wire and so on the amp will most likely run like that for ever, but they have to assume everyone is running 22gauge power at 30ft. and no backup and thier alt and batt. are shot and this way they dont get a million returns a year.
If you cant deliver what the amp needs it will fail or over heat or crap out. So build it and rate it to the worst of conditions.
