Choice between SSA DCON 10" and JL W3 10"

I've nailed it down to these 2 subs and would like other peoples opinion. If I go with the W3 should I get the pre-made box from JL? or have a local shop build it for me, and I guess vise-versa for the DCON.

JL W3v3 will also take 500rms all day long. I personally like the JL sound. Use to run 2-12W3v2's that sounded great on the JL 1000.1. it's up to you. I would go with a custom box no matter what sub you choose.

Spend an extra $100 and go with a sub which will command respect - Icon. Dcon and JLW3 - nah.

question - what exactly is a "low level impact"? I googled it but found no answer.

from the sound of it, it's when you get kicked in the nuts - low level impact.

IF this is true, I've gotta hear a Dcon.

I was really shocked with the SQ that comes from the Dcon
it's very simular to the Icon...same sick low end extension
and very smooth detailed note transition
