Clarion 9255 vs Eclipse 8454

The "new" 9255 isn't out yet afaik. The older one was very nice(and was the only clarion that the local shop...clarion/eclipse dealer... ever mentioned in the same breath as eclipse, soundwise).
The new 9255's in shop price will be wice that of the 8454, atleast here in the US(MAP on the 9255 is $1199 while the 8454 is $599).
I own an 8053 and love it. If the 9255 sounded nicer to my ears(and I could afford it), I would buy it. Maybe I can demo one in the car once the shop can get one.
