I totally see the point you are expressing. But I dont think if Pyramid sends in a 2000Wrms amp that they will put it to print with a glowing review as long as they buy a full page ad. Do you? But I understand where you are coming from. But like you and I both said the reviews are from the best of the best. The "Win / Win".

yes pyramid will get a positive review if they choose to if they are a paid sponsor. all that would need to be said is that pyramid has new and rewamped products and bla bla bla and everyone will think pyramid is great and not the crap that it used to be. Car manufacturer's do this all the time.

Well I guess if you know Dave Mac a looong time, then it's pretty clear what you are saying about him. If he's falsifying test reports, that makes him a liar, whether he's on the payroll or not. If he's not, then the test results are as stated, whether you pay for it or not.

Please read his reports carefully, he is honest and retains his integrity, regardless of wether or not they are a sponsored/advertised product.
function/performance is reported, being as professional as possible.
words like "junk, crap, cheap" are not professional or accurate.

One has to be able to read between the lines a bit to filter out the propaganda.
Like a good politician, I'm sure Dave knows who butters his toast, but I think he has the integrity to include the negatives, or failed expectations in a politally correct way, without directly slamming stuff.
Some reports are overflowing with praise and "definately should be on your list", while others just come out with a "worth a look" comment.
Even if the scales are skewed a bit, the relativity remains, as long as the sames scales are used.

^^sure you can, there are hundreds of magazines, articles, news programs, web sites etc... that do exactly that. In fact just the other day, Pat Foran( I believe that's his name) on CFTO news did a consumer report on plasma tv's that clearly stated that the best brand of the test group was Panasonic. I found that interesting considering that SONY supplies all there monitors. That's just one example that came to mind. I have many more, but you are too dumb to waste my time. Anyway, if you think Mr. Mackinnon is a liar,"Dave is not a liar, but Dave is on the payrol." just say it man. Unless you are DUMB, you should understand what your statement implies. By the way, I don't believe anything until I check it out for myself.

ok dumbass, point me to a SINGLE bad review in PASMAG.
btw monitors are different. cfto either PAID to get those monitors or sony gave them for free in hopes of publicity. pasmag GOT PAID for ads and reviews. think before u post. yah every single product has ever been reviewd and publishied in PASMAG was 'the best thing since the door ****'........every single review is positive for the last what? 10 years? i cant believe that magazine has any credibility left period.
