Clear-ups
So i've been running 2 10" JL W3v8's off of a Alpine MRD-M1005, 4 5X7 JL TR's off of an infinity 7561a (100w RMS X 4 @ 4) for about the past year now and my system has been running great. But unfortunately my 1989 Ford Thunderbird cannot handle it's power. My car is beginning to rattle, like absolutely crazy. You name it, it's rattling. The main one is coming from the trunk cover, (The part that's behind the back seat, height of the headrests that runs to the bottom lip of the back window). How do i fix this rattle? I have no idea what to tighten, if i can tighten anything. Any other rattle fixing techniques out there?

so the rear deck is the worst rattle? i dont know if it would be screwed down or not, but generally what i do is find seams that rattle and put weather stripping or somthing similar in them. my whole interior is plastic and theres plastic on plastic which is rattle city, i find a bit of padding at the contact points to do wonders for shutting things up.

sound deadener like b-quiet, dynamat etc... a few layers should take care of things. Ofcourse make sure there aren't loose welds, bolts, or sheet metal banging against each other first. All seems (areas joined to each other for panels etc...) should be insulated with closed cell weather strip foam or similar. make sure you don't keep loose change in your ashtray...makes a hell of a racket.
