Crimping 0/1 Gauge Connectors
pliers??? a little too weak I'd say a Vice Grip.... at least for my ring terminals, they were HUGE.... some thick metal.... I didnt have enough leverage with a standard crimper... so I stepped up... Once it's on there I just soldered over it and made it smooth, shiny and pretty!

crimp then solder
just grab a hammer and plier, or something round, place over top of the terminal to curl in the middle and grab into the wire
then solder it after

yikes............... </font>
what? alot of work? lol I know... but I like to make sure everything is solid and secure... Im a little about that
I have a spring loaded tool that you put the connector into, then insert the wire into the connector. The tool is kind of like a punch, once you have it lined up, you hit the top of the tool with a hammer. It rolls the connector perfectly every time. Then you solder it. You can get the tool at a professional tool house.
