You'd be better off getting a sound card with an optical output, this will give you far more, and far cheaper options for an external Crossover/DAC.

If you are bent on keeping your existing output, a Japanese spec Alpine PXA-H900 is the only option I know of. At $6400 plus import costs, it ain't cheap.

Another route, would be to use an inexpensive home D/A converter, use the analogue outputs from that to feed any one of a plethora of the available crossovers. Just a thought.

Best bang for the buck right now would be the Alpine H701.

I know I keep recomending Alpine, but for this type of installation, it's the only choice for new product. There are a couple of other options for DAC/Crossovers, but they are far more expensive and complex than the H701.

The previous generation processor called the PXA-H700 is available used for around $400-500 US

That said, I do know of one person in Athens, Greece that is using a car mounted computer hooked up to a PXA-H900.

Keep it as simple as you can, look up the Alpine PXA-H700 used.

I hope this helps.

Or if your car pc has USB you could get a Gigaport AG which is a analog sound card to avoid any signal problem and run the signal out of 2 of the 8 outputs on the AG and right into a normal RCA type processor line a AudioControl then your good to go. And by 12vdc power AD converter do you mean a 12vdc to 120vac inverter?
