I'm going to be drive the Saturnmobile down so that should equate to about $70 cdn in gas either way. Split between 4 guys that should be alright. I'm sure if a state trooper saw a Saturn driving by they wouldn't take a second glance. I'm going to document everything so that if someone has this question next year I'll blow them away.
I was told that the food is really expensive, is it really that hard on the wallet?
What time do events for the day end, and what does everybody do for fun at the end of the day? (Ok I don't need to know in detail, if you stay in you room, what you do)

I really need to know how hard it would be to find a place to stay in Nashville if you don't make reservations. Money is no object, it's been a long time since I've been on vacation so I have a few bucks.

The drive is closer to 18 hours from Toronto than 8 hours..
There is a ton for spectators to see. They can enjoy the manufacturers booths, walk around the pit areas and talk to the competitors and of course, watch the action from the stands.. It's a great event!

Maybe it just felt like 18 hours..
Weird.. I actually thought it was 18 hours.. where was I going?
Anyways, Mapquest says 12 hours, 39 minutes from Toronto.
As for the show, I have never really payed attention to the schedule, since I have always been working so hard taking pictures and helping Trevor Barber with his ranger. This year, George and Mark from Performance Auto and Sound will be travelling with me. We have a booth at the show to sell magazines and what-not.
We plan on leaving Wednesday afternoon and driving fairly steadily, or untill we all pass out. hahaha... If anyone wants to travel with us, we'd love to have a bit of a convoy going on. We won't be driving fast, just enjoying the trip and making it safe.
Pancake, there are lots of hotels nearby, or just down the road. Finding somewhere shouldn't be a problem...
I also don't recall food being crazy expensive. Yes, it costs more, as the prices are a bit cheaper in terms of dollars, then you have to include the exchange. That being said, our dollar is about as good now as it has ever been...
