It gets rather hot @ 2 ohms after a decent period of time. I wouldn't try 1.5 ohms ... What could you possibly be hooking up that is 1.5 ohms ?

2ohms is where you should run it, to make it happy. 1.5 is the asiest way to end up with pair of open fuses.

i am running 2 concept cex-12 inch subs, they are dual 6 ohm voice coils. does the amp really heat up bad at 2 ohms? can the .5 ohms really do that much dammage? they are going into sealed boxes, if i increase or decrease the volume will that make it easier on the amp?

Theoretically, if you don't run the amp @ full power, you can get away with it. But I would probably stick with 3 ohms per channel for dialy use until I got either new subs or a new amp ...

If it's for competition, 1.5 ohm burps probably wouldn't damage the amp ...

If its a 2ohm stable amp, .5 ohm will not make a huge difference. If it has protection circutry, it may get a little annoying though. Heat will also be increased. If the amp doesn't protect itself against the load, I'd say it will probably reduce it's long-term reliability.

There is really only one way to find out
