Decks with motorized face plates?

I have a cda 9855. When i first put it in the faceplate would stick in the tilt sometimes. Before i ripped it out i went to talk to an "authorized alpine service center". They told me most of the warranty issues are installer problems. Its easy to squish the din mount case and that prevents the tilt mechanisim from working. So, i took it out myself and sure enough, he was right!! It worked fine when not in the case. So i straighten the case out, put it back in the mount making sure it wasn't twisted or bent and the tilt has worked perfect ever since.
My friend rick has a 3 yr old alpine i installed for him in his truck and has never had a problem.

it can't be user error, too many cases.
I hope Alpine never ever again does the same stupid thing they did with 9853/55 series.
