Distro Quesiton
Distro Quesiton
I have a single run of 0 gauge wire. I am getting a second amp right away, and I would like to split the run into 2 for both power and ground. However, I don't want to spend too much if possible on distro blocks, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on other ways to split into 2 4 guage runs or if that wasn't possible where to find the cheapest distro blocks to fit my application.
Fair enough. Just wondering if there were any good places to order them online or where the cheapest place to get them at locally is. I need a couple of 0 guage to 2 4 gauge distro blocks, neither has to be fused.

Well it ain't pretty, but the distro block I used was only 12 or 14 bucks... Got it from my stereo shop (ARA, Calgary), but I have since seen them in the Gregg Distributors catalog. There's an online catalog, give it a whirl... http://www.greggdistributors.ca/

Sayal Electronics, in Scarborough, victoria park, just south of steeles, has 4 position gold plated, 1/0 x 4g fuse blocks for 9.99
1/0 ring lugs for .99
12 & 17 ft RCA's, 3.49 & 4.49
4 & 8 gage wire is cheap. Didn't have any 1/0 in stock.

I got everything I need now. I already have 60 feet of 0 gauge and 35 feet of 4 gauge, plus 6 ring terminals, and all the tools to hook them up. Just gotta wait for my second amp to come in, do the big 3, make a wall, and wire everything up. Ya, I got a lot ahead of me.
